Musical Soiree - 29 September 2024
A wonderful array of enthusiastic talent was displayed at St John The Baptist Anglican Church at Bulimba for our annual Musical Soiree fundraising event. The packed venue and performers raised more than $6500 for Hearts for Africa and enjoyed champagne and a high tea, as well as excellent music.
The pianists were from a group who are working on their performance skills and meet monthly to workshop. They have raised much needed funds for the Amani school students and parents.
Additionally, we had a stirring bagpiper who also invited our audience to sing The Mull of Kintyre with pipes and piano accompaniments.
A wonderful afternoon of fantastic music, delicious food and great conversation.
Sausage Sizzle - 26 October 2024
On the day of the Queensland State Election Hearts held a sausage sizzle and cake stall at St Stephens Anglican Church in Coorparoo raising over $1000 for our schools in Tanzania.
Charity Dinner - 3 March 2025
First fundraising event for 2025, a charity dinner held at the Bamiyan Restaurant at Camp Hill. Mouthwatering food, wonderful conversation and a great and noisy atmosphere. Thanks to all those able to attend or make a donation, we raised over $1200 to be applied to the ongoing repair of the school buses.
